cut out和cut off的区别

cut off指的是切掉，割掉，砍掉，剪掉。cut out指的是剪切块；删除部份；切断；[电]断流器。例句：He could also have cut out much of the repetition and thus saved many pages.

一、意思不同：

（1）cut off 指的是切掉，割掉，砍掉，剪掉。

例句：His company is preparing to shut down in the event that their water supply is cut off

假如供水被切断，他所在的公司就准备关闭。

（2）cut out 指的是剪切块；删除部份；切断；[电]断流器。

二、使用场合不同：

（1）cut off表示“剪下”时，着重指从某一物的一端切去或剪去一部分。另外，它还有“停止（供应）或中断（通话）”的意思。
