on和over的区别

on和over的区别:指代不同、用法不同、侧重点不同。on是指在…上;over时指部分或全部覆盖在…上面。on指与另一物表面相接触;over指一物在另一物的垂直上方,多暗示悬空,但也含“覆盖于……之上”之意。

on和over的具体区别

1、on:在……之上

on与其他两个介词最大的不同之处在于,on表示在上面的物体与下面的物体有表面接触。如:

a plate of cakes on the table(桌子上的一盘蛋糕),则表示蛋糕在桌子上,二者表面是有接触的。

My mother put a picture on the wall.

我妈妈在墙上挂了一幅画。

2、over:在……之上;从一边到另一边;覆盖

over也可以表达某物在……的上方,但是悬空在上方,没有接触面。如:在头上撑起一把伞;或者茶几上方有盏灯。

There was a lamp hanging over the table.

餐桌上面吊着一盏灯。

on和over的双语例句

on:

1、On the contrary, say defenders of pizza, it is indeed a healthful food.

相反地,为披萨辩护的人则说它确实是一种健康食品。

2、his water-colours were on the line, and he was a successful man.

他的水彩画挂在最佳位置,他是一个成功的画家。

over:

1、Happiness diffused all over the crowded deck like a flower fragrance.

幸福象花儿的芬芳一样散布在拥挤的甲板上。

2、If you place the mouse cursor over this icon, a menu bar that says TestActivity appears.

如果将鼠标光标悬停于此图标之上,会出现一个菜单栏,显示TestActivity。
